Legoland
Windsor
Saturday 23 July 2005
A massed band of around 60 players performed at Legoland Windsor as part of their Musical Mayhem weekend.
The band gave three performances during the day and there was plenty of opportunity for members to enjoy the park - many stayed until the park closed at 7:00pm.

Alton Towers
Saturday 5 July 2003
62 musicians from our bands around the UK gave three successful performances as a BB National Brass Band at the special BB day at Alton Towers on Saturday 5 July 2003.
The rain kept off and we entertained many people visiting the park. In between performances, members had the opportunity to enjoy the park (despite some long queues for the more nail-biting rides!).

Brigade Council in
Birmingham
Saturday 31 August 2002
Birmingham Battalion kindly invited members of our Association to perform at the 2002 Brigade Council Saturday evening show. Over 50 of our members took up this invitation and formed a nationally represented brass band to play for the second half of the show.
The evening was a great success and many favourable comments were received from the audience. Also, sales of our CD were very good.

National Brass
Band
|
62 musicians, representing 8 of our bands, formed a National Brass Band for this special Gala Concert. Performing to a packed house of almost 300 people, the band featured many pieces from their new CD.
Conducted by David Carter, Iain McIntyre and Simon Farrenden, the band were on fine form. The programme also featured Iain McIntyre as soloist in Trumpet Voluntary and a small group, made up of at least one member of each band represented, performed a beautiful new arrangement of Amazing Grace. The evening was compered by John McInytre.
One of the highlights must have been Thank you for the Music, (not featured on the CD but maybe on the next!?). The sight of Keely Rogers in an ABBA wig and Harry Parrish (the singing bass drummer) will be remembered for a long time!!
The band were delighted to welcome as special guest artistes, the 1st Totton Girls' Brigade Choir, who sang a number of varied pieces which included hymn tunes and music from a couple of Disney films. They also joined the band for the closing Evening Song.
The band were also pleased to perform in the presence of the Deputy Mayor of Eastleigh, Councillor Ms Gillian Connell, Mr John Young, MBE, Brigade Vice President and Sydney Jones, OBE, Brigade Secretary. Mr Jones was presented with a copy of the band's new CD as a 'thank you' gift for his forthcoming retirement.
The following morning saw visiting members of the National Band joining both the 2nd Eastleigh BB/GB brass band and the Chandlers Ford BB brass band to play at their respective church services.
All in all, a great weekend!
