National Band Training
A band training weekend took place at RAF Uxbridge over the early May Bank Holiday weekend (28 April –1 May 2006). Click here for a report.
A training day, for aged 15+ members who wished to learn more about conducting, arranging and teaching, took place on 19 March 2005 in Chandlers Ford. We hope those who were able to attend found it useful and that it will help when they are back working with their bands.
80 participants took part in our 2004 national band training weekend at DCAE Cosford (formerly RAF Cosford) from 30th April to 3rd May 2004. Click here for a report and photos.
Almost 120 participants took part in our previous band training weekends at RAF Cosford over the 1999 and 2001 early May bank holiday weekends. Photos of the 2001 event are on our gallery pages. To read about this event, click here .

Annual Get-together weekend
Every year we hold an informal 'get-together' weekend, usually in October, for members of our Association. This usually involves having a Saturday massed band rehearsal, concert and social activities, plus playing for the host church's Sunday morning service. It's great fun!

Our 2006 Get-together weekend took place in Halifax on Saturday and Sunday 28/29th October. Click here for a full report.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, our 2005 Get-together weekend had to be postponed.

The 2004 Get-together weekend took place in Derby on October 16th–17th October. Click here for a full report.

The 2003 Get-together took place at Court Hey Methodist Church in Liverpool on October 18th/19th 2003. Click here for a full report.

The 2002 Get-together took place in Hucknall, near Nottingham 19th - 20th October. Click here for a full report.

The 2001 Get-together, which this year was a one-day event, took place on 20th October, in Halesowen and, in addition to some of the usual activities, it included the final rehearsal for the CD band.

The 2000 Get-together took place in Doncaster and included a very successful public concert at Priory Place Methodist Church on the Saturday evening. Pictures of this event appear on our gallery pages.
